Teething

When I see my daughter so uncomfortable, and in so much pain, I want to say Lord, stop the teething process please! Yet I know it is essential for her growth, and her teeth are a foundation for the rest of her life. Which nutrients she will be able to chew depend upon what is happening at this moment.

We all have processes in our lives that are painful and uncomfortable.. Yet to stop the work that God is doing in our lives that makes us feel icky at times is to stop what He is preparing us for in the future.

Teething is a necessary part of life, and if God is working on a part of your life even if its almost unbearable, it is necessary.
His love "prunes" us so we can bear more fruit.

Be encourgaed, He is doing a work!!

He is always faithful..

Sitting at books-a-million, and I found myself asking God if He would meet me right where I was and just remind me that He sees me and loves me. No where special, no crazy on my knees crying out, just a simple, " Father will you meet me here?" On my way out I made a pitstop in the ladies room (pregnancy bladder).. And all the stalls were empty and all were closed but one.. And as I was leaving I looked up to see this light writing on the door.. "Smile, God still loves you." This may seem silly to some but I smiled and laughed, and felt overjoyed that not only would he meet me at B.A.M..but would even meet me in a bathroom stall. Oh, this God we serve He is faithful! He always meets us right where we are.

Construction

I have been struggling with unforgiveness lately with a couple people in my life. And it seems like EVERYDAY I am saying to the Lord, I forgive that person. But the devil tries to say, stop writing, stop doing what God has called you to do because you are unworthy and don't have your stuff together. Well, the fact is, I have never been worthy, I have been swallowed up by His grace.. So to stop doing what God has called me to do just because I am struggling would mean I would stop in my tracks until I take my final breath. We are all like roads that have to have construction done to fix the pot holes, and the cracks and the broken barriers within us. And once one area is finished, God begins to do work on another place. So friends DO NOT let the devil steal your destiny or your purpose because your heart is being worked on. Being worked on by the Father means He hasn't given up on you!! Keep doing what He called you to do!

Made New

A few years back I was at a Womens confrence with my church, and I was truly struggling with many things, and felt so much like a failure in the eyes of God. I remember the first night of worship, and we began to sing the song "You are Welcome Here." And as I began to sing, You are welcome here mighty God.. I heard the sweet voice of the Lord say to me.. And you are welcome here in my presence. I began to weep, because a single sentence spoken by God changed my life that day. That entire weekend was full of preaching of Gods love for us,his sons and daughters. Still to this day I search out scriptures of His love, not because I am unaware of his commandments or his judgement. Simply because when my heart is overflowing with His love it is easy to stay in His will, follow His voice, and do the very things He has called me to do. The love of God will change you. It is impossible to stand before love, and not be made new.

Stains

Have you ever had a stain, one so dark that there is no possible way you could remove it? Maybe it is on your clothes for the world to see and mock. Maybe it is in your house where only the people that know you best can see it, or maybe it is in your room where only you can see this dreadful stain. Have you tried to cover up the stain? Some people put a rug over a carpet stain so no one knows its there, some people place whatever they can get a hold of to disguise the stain.

This reminds me of life, how many stains do we have from our past or even just today that we just can't get rid of. We don't want people to know we have a flaw/sin/stain so we cover it up with whatever we so choose. Sometimes the stain is obvious to those around us, and other times it is something personal that taunts us from our own souls. We often try everything but the right thing to get the stain off.. We try lying, we try hiding, we try drugs, we try pain medicine, we try, we try scrubbing on our own, but nothing seems to work. And this is where the blood of Jesus comes in. There is no stain/sin/flaw that can withstand the precious blood of Jesus. So if you find yourself trying in your own strength to cover up, or scrub yourself out of a "stain" remember that you can go to Jesus, and ask Him to remove it for you. He is faithful, and He can change the unchangeable stains in our lives.
