Trusting God With Our Treasures

I love it that my child trusts me with her most treasured possession, her paci. She will hand it to me in confidence knowing that I will give it back to her. One day I will have to take her favorite thing away, not because it is a punishment but simply because if she continues on it will effect the development of her teeth. She may not understand in the beginning but one day she will. Thankfully this is how God is with us. We can trust him with the things we love the most, things that are dear to us. If He chooses at some point to take it away we can have confidence that it is only to help us grow up in some way. He is worthy of all of our trust and love.
